On March 10 there was a meeting of representatives of the North East Ecoenergy Cluster (including OPTIMA POLSKA, which is its member since 2013) with Deputy Speaker Maciej Zywno. It concerned the issues related to the efficient use of renewable energy in Podlaskie Voivodeship and to the competitions advertised under the Regional Operational Programme (Measure 5.1 Power industry based on renewable energy sources).
During the meeting there was also raised the issued of energy cluster creation. Director of the Department of Regional Development informed that the government is planning to enter the energy clusters to territorial contracts of all provinces. The financing of these investments would come from the Infrastructure and Environment Programme.
Deputy Speaker stressed that he is open to cooperation in the field of renewable energy, that’s why it is planned, among others, broadening the composition of the working group affairs to energy efficiency and renewable energy operating within the marshal’s office. It is composed of representatives of science, local governments and entrepreneurs, and is chaired by prof. Piotr Banaszuk of Bialystok University of Technology, also present at the meeting.
