The Commune of Szelkow puts on energy from nature. The aim of the project are investments in renewable energy sources, which will allow on energy self-sufficiency of the area.
OPTIMA POLSKA will design and build modern intelligent installations using the energy of solar radiation, energy of the wind and energy of the interior of the Earth (geothermal). This month drilling works will begin – execution of the lower source for heat pumps in the complex of buildings in the Commune of Szelkow within the framework of the project “Energetic modernization of the complex of buildings in the Commune of Szelkow”. Its main aim is comprehensive energetic modernization of public utilities and thus improvement of energy efficiency, pollution emission and heat costs reduction, which will result in better conditions for its users. If everything goes according to plan, works will end at the end of this year.
The project will include a complex of interconnected public buildings, which are: Commune Office, Junior High School, Primary School, Kindergarten and Sports Hall. Depending on the building, the investment will include comprehensive activities connected with the facade insulation, the replacement of window frames elements, improvement of quality and efficiency of heating system and, in part of buildings, exchanging heat sources or using renewable energy sources. Usable floor space of all rooms is 3489.84 m2.
Construction works, including assembly and installation works, will include in particular:
– photovoltaic installation – 160 photovoltaic modules,
– solar installation – 70 collectors with a total area of 182m2,
– modernization of the boiler room with assembly of 2 glycol/water heat pumps with a nominal power of 113 kW each and drilling of ground probes,
– installation of a 1.8 kW wind turbine,
– modernization of lighting installation with intelligent control,
– introduction of the PMS remote control system (energy management system).
Solar and photovoltaic panels will be mounted in order to collection and using solar energy, which will then be processed and used in heating systems of the facility and hot water preparation. In addition to the energy from the sun, wind energy and geothermal energy will also be used in public buildings.
The use of the heat pumps, photovoltaic panels, solar collectors and wind turbine with intelligent supervision of the heating and lighting system, giving a significant reduction in operating costs, is an example encouraging the entire Commune of Szelkow to use such solutions in modernization of other buildings.
Thanks to low-energy objects, significant effects will be primarily achieved in range of the environment protection, especially thanks to the rational use of heat energy, which will significantly reduce air pollution.
Energy-efficient investments in public buildings fulfill their mission: they contribute to reduction of energy consumption and thus reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. They also lower operating costs. Thanks to new heating and ventilation systems, insulated walls or replacement of windows, doors and lighting, the comfort of the use of objects is improved. At the same time, operating costs of these buildings are reduced.
Thanks to the project implemented by OPTIMA POLSKA, saving of final energy consumption will be: 80.44%; reduction of energy costs: 300.000 PLN / year, and saving of CO2 emission: 69,96%.
