The Institute of Renewable Energy (an independent research group, and the first private research institute in Poland with a deep knowledge of the renewable energy issues: wind energy, solar energy, biogas, biomass, energy planning, ranging from politics energy and law, economic and financial analysis, and ending with the technical issues and design) completed another cyclical research concerning the photovoltaic market in Poland in 2015. The results were presented in the annual report “The photovoltaic market in Poland’2016.” Among the surveyed manufacturers and distributors of photovoltaic modules OPTIMA POLSKA company is in 10th place in terms of power sold PV modules in Poland.
According to the survey, among of 31 leading Polish companies in the Polish market for PV, nearly 145,000 units of photovoltaic modules with a total capacity of 36.7 MW were sold in 2015, which covers almost 50% of the total installed capacity in Poland in 2015, which amounted to 77.2 MW. In this year, the surveyed companies expect sales on the level of approx. 54 MW.
In terms of installed capacity in PV systems in Poland, last year and the first quarter of 2016 brought again determined gain of new powers in photovoltaics. The total capacity of photovoltaic installations in Poland at the end of the first quarter of this year is 119.2 MW, of which 26% are micro installations.
